January 3 Roundup – Disney Plus and Traveling Around The World!

Lots of new news about Disney Plus: a sequel to Star Wars: Rebels is targeted for release late this year. It apparently focuses on Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren (the Mandalorian in Rebels) – I’m excited to see how this turns out, as there were plenty of plotlines from Rebels left unanswered: where is Thrawn and Ezra Bridger?

Business Insider has more information about movies leaving Disney+ due to licensing concerns. A quick read with interesting details – for example, it says that Black Panther is returning to Netflix in 2026!

Traveling around Walt Disney World can be tough. That’s why I want to highlight this AllEars post on Disney transportation. It’s a great article on the options available for going around the WDW area. Another tip I would add: If you’re in a rush to get somewhere – like a dinner reservation – consider ordering a Minnie Van through the Lyft mobile app. It may cost a bit more, but it’s worth it for time-sensitive events.

Epcot is undergoing a huge deal of work: this WDWNT article has pictures of new construction walls as the right side of Epcot’s entrance is being rebuilt. On the other side of Epcot, the Regal Eagle BBQ restaurant is still under construction – the Disney Food Blog has pictures of the roof being installed.
