Disney-MGM has evolved a great deal in the decade since its opening. Most of the major draws to this movie-studio park have come from new attractions including the signature Tower of Terror freefall ride. Check the park opening time from the official Disney website and know that Disney will let parkgoers in at least a half-hour early -- though the rides do not start until the official park opening (usually 9am).

Hit the popular Tower of Terror, Rock & Roller Coaster, Great Movie Ride and Star Tours attractions early -- in that order if you arrive just as the park opens. The park also hosts some of the best live performance stage shows in Disney and their popularity might also warrant early arrivals at selected shows.

The Rest of the Park

Buzz and Woody hang out by Pizza Planet for pictures. A parade themed to the latest disney release will stroll through Hollywood Boulevard. On select nights, Sorcery in the Sky lights up the night with a fireworks show. So much to do but also not to be overlooked are three of the most original dining experiences in Disney. At Brown Derby, a recreation of the Hollywood star hangout of the same name, you will get the best eats in the park. But for atmosphere, dining in tables molded as cars at a campy drive-in theater is Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater's claim. Also check out the 50's Prime Time Diner where they treat you like family, literally, as nostalgic clips of 1950's shows air on tv's throughout the eating areas. While the food at all but Brown Derby are mediocre at best, do check out the great shakes at the restaurants, especially the peanut butter & jelly shake at Prime Time.
