Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

You will have to go to Disneyland to ride this one as the Magic Kingdom version closed a few years back to make way for Pooh's honey pot ride. Toad still can be found in the building though. After the blustery day, once you enter Owl's house, look for a painting of Mr. Toad symbolically handing over the deed to Pooh's wise old owl friend. As for the original ride it was a traditional dark ride, complete with often cheesy plywood cutout figures that were resilient under black light. You would board a two-row car and go through a series of scenes that end in hell after a train crash. Morbid, true, but it is rather light-hearted and based on the Disney animated short The Wind in the Willows. There used to be two loading stations (versus Disneyland's one) and each track had subtle differences in the scenes, save for the same ending.

The best place to enjoy Walt Disney World is by staying at one of the park's many onsite resort hotels which offer early entry into the parks and are available as value, moderate and deluxe lodging alternatives.
