The many mysteries of the ocean are explored in this attraction. After a short sit-down film one boards an elevator-like "hydrolator". They don't actually go anywhere, the floor will rattle, bubble walls roll by, but then the other door opens, supposedly immersed deep underwater, and while one use to board a moving vehicle for a short trip through part of a huge salt-water aquarium, it's now a walk right into the massive aquarium. You have two floors of viewing areas into the marine-life tank, along with other sea-based exhibits. Thanks to the success of Finding Nemo you may see a clownfish or two as well as other characters about. One can't miss attraction, apart from the magnificent live fish, is
Since the tank is the main attraction, many who want to bypass the pre-show and get right into the observation decks are going in through the exit hydrolators (which are to the left when facing the pavilion entrance). This is not an accepted practice, and the hydrolators close pretty quickly after exiting guest leave, so be nimble and be sure that you have no intention of watching the film and going through the ride before attempting this. The Coral Reef Restaurant, where you dine facing the huge aquarium full of more than 5000 sea creatures, is one of the finer Disney restaurant offerings. At the very least, it comes with the most spectacular view!
