Cruising at Disney WorldIf you have the time -- and the means -- taking in a 3, 4 or 7 night cruise on the Disney Wonder or the Disney Magic is an unforgettable experience.
The boats leave out of Port Canaveral, about an hour East of Walt Disney World. Once onboard you will be treated to great meals,
character interaction galore and some of the most spectacular shows in the cruising industry.
The kid programs are top notch as kids are broken up by ages and have playgrounds, computers, science labs and more. The highlight of the trip is the stay at Castaway Cay (pronounced Castaway Key) where Disney has its own island complete with sandy beaches and decent snorkeling. Dinner finds you rotating around three different restaurants. The Animator's Palate is the most memorable of the dining rooms as the walls change colors and animated scenes come to life as the dining stages progress. Disney cruises aren't cheap. They run you a little more than the standard Caribbean cruises leaving out of Florida. However, if you are a Disney nut and can't pass up a Mickey Mouse shaped pool, some hilarious Disney themed shows, and watching first-run Disney movies, this is the ship for you.
